Mioo Islamic Finance Hub ("we", "us", "our") operates the website at {SITE_DOMAIN}. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using our website, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
All five of our calculators (Fidya, Kaffarah, Zakat, Hajj/Umrah Savings, and Faraid Inheritance) run entirely in your browser using client-side JavaScript. The financial figures, family details, and any other inputs you enter into these calculators are processed locally on your device. They are never transmitted to our servers, never logged, and never stored. You can verify this by inspecting the page source or by using your browser's network inspector while using the calculators.
Our web host automatically records standard server log information when you visit our site, including your IP address (anonymized after 7 days), browser type, referring URL, pages visited, and timestamps. This information is used solely for security, performance monitoring, and aggregate analytics. It is retained for up to 90 days and then permanently deleted.
We use cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:
We display advertisements via Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.
You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of third-party vendor cookies for personalized advertising by visiting aboutads.info/choices or youronlinechoices.com (for EU users).
For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, and Switzerland, Google AdSense complies with the Digital Services Act (DSA) transparency requirements. Information about Google's DSA compliance is available at Google's DSA Transparency page.
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):
If you are a California resident, you have similar rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at {SITE_EMAIL}. Because we do not maintain user accounts or collect personal data via our calculators, most of these rights apply only to log data and analytics data.
Our website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
Our articles may contain links to external websites (e.g. scholarly sources, government regulations, Islamic organizations). We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of these external sites. We recommend reviewing the privacy policy of any website you visit via a link from our site.
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect the limited data we do hold (server logs, analytics aggregates). These measures include HTTPS encryption for all traffic, regular security updates, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will provide a prominent notice on the homepage for at least 30 days. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or our data practices, please contact us at {SITE_EMAIL}. We will respond within 30 days, in accordance with GDPR requirements.
