Our Mission

Mioo Islamic Finance Hub was founded with a single conviction: that every Muslim deserves access to accurate, well-sourced Islamic finance knowledge — without cost, without registration, and without compromising on scholarly rigor. In an era where Islamic finance information online is often fragmented, contradictory, or commercially motivated, we exist to provide a trusted reference point grounded in classical scholarship and updated for contemporary realities.

Our calculators are not approximations. Every formula is documented with its Fiqh source, every threshold cross-checked against established references, and every numerical default updated with current market data. When we say a Zakat rate is 2.5%, that figure traces back to the explicit text of the Quran and the unanimous consensus (ijma) of the Muslim community across all schools of law.

Our Methodology

Each calculator and article on this site follows a consistent methodology:

• Primary sources first. We begin with the Quran and authentic Hadith, citing specific verses and narrations.
• Classical Fiqh references. We consult Al-Hidaya (Hanafi), Al-Mughni (Hanbali), Reliance of the Traveller (Shafi'i), and Fiqh As-Sunnah as our primary scholarly sources.
• Contemporary fatwa bodies. Where modern circumstances require new rulings, we cite the Fiqh Council of North America, AMJA, the European Council for Fatwa and Research, and the Muslim World League.
• Madhab transparency. Where scholars differ, we present multiple positions clearly — never imposing a single view as definitive.
• Numerical accuracy. All current prices (gold, silver, staple foods, Hajj packages) are updated regularly and cached for transparency.

Who We Are

Mioo Islamic Finance Hub is maintained by a small team of Muslim developers and content researchers based in multiple countries. We are not affiliated with any mosque, organization, or government. Our funding comes from advertising (Google AdSense) and voluntary reader support — never from any institution that might compromise our editorial independence.

While our team includes individuals with formal Islamic studies training, we are not scholars in the technical sense — we are educators and tool-builders. For binding religious rulings specific to your situation, we strongly encourage you to consult a qualified scholar in your local community.
