1. Calculator Inputs Never Leave Your Device
This is the most important thing to understand about Mioo: all calculator computations run entirely in your browser using JavaScript. When you enter your Zakat amounts, inheritance details, or Hajj savings figures, that data does not get transmitted to our servers. We never see it, we never store it, and we have no way to recover it. You could complete a calculation while offline (after the page loads), and it will work.
We designed the platform this way because Islamic worship calculations involve sensitive personal financial information. The privacy of that information is a religious as well as a civil responsibility, and we take it seriously.
2. Information We Do Collect
We collect a minimal set of non-identifying information needed to operate the website:
- Server logs: Standard web server logs include IP address, browser type, referring URL, pages visited, and timestamp. This data is used for security, debugging, and aggregate traffic analysis. IPs are not associated with any personal identity.
